Miami City Self Storage (MCSS) has completed three new facilities in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Totaling 240,000 sq ft of rentable climate-controlled storage space, the facilities are located in Doral, Miami and Fort Lauderdale. The Doral facility has 918 individual units totaling 76,475 sq ft. The Miami facility features 922 units totaling about 76,050 sq ft on five floors. The Fort Lauderdale facility has 1,053 units totaling about 86,400 sq ft. MCSS currently has 11 projects in the pipeline in Miami-Dade and Broward counties and is on track to develop more than 1.5 million sq ft in South Florida. CubeSmart is presently managing all three facilities on behalf of MCSS.
“We have been working on these urban infill projects for three years” said Jay Massirman, partner at MCSS. “Today we are proceeding on any new projects in South Florida with a high degree of caution as we are at end of this storage development cycle.”
