The residential developer JRD is planning a new passive energy project called Green Port Strašnice in Prague’s 10th district. Along with 156 units, the project will include 1,270 sqm of retail space and a park, according to the valid planning permit secured for the project. Construction is set to get underway in September 2019 and last until 2021. Most of the flat will have a balcony or terrace, a bicycle and baby carriage room as well as bike stands and washing equipment. Energy efficiency will be maximized by using three-pane windows, automatic shading systems and heat recuperation equipment. The location is near the Želivského metro station on the metro’s A line.
