Valamar, the leading hotel chain operator in Croatia, is planning to invest €24m over the next five years in the Croatian port town of Makarska. The company wants to renovate its hotels in the area, including the four-star Meteor, which has 277 accommodation units, the Dalmacija with 190 rooms and the Rivijera with 258 rooms. The hotels will be branded according to Valamar’s standards. The upgrades will add a number of jobs to the local labor force.
