Pirates and ODS ready to oust ANO in Prague

10 September 2018

Developers in Prague are getting ready for a changing of the city’s top political representation. Local elections due in October look likely to unseat the ANO party, as it came in fourth in a recent Czech Television poll. The surprising winners of the poll were the Pirate party and ODS, both of which received the backing of 33 percent of respondents. They were followed by a coalition between TOP 09, STAN and KDU-CSL which received a combined 25 percent. ANO, the party of Prague’s mayor Adriana Krnáčová, managed just 23.5 percent. The Green party, which had a large impact on development in the city of Prague in recent years, managed 7th place with 11.5 percent of potential voters.
