7 September 2018

CG Hospitality LLC bought the historic 362-room Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club for $188.5m. The seller was RLJ Lodging Trust. The deals includes the release of $3.5m in member deposits. Originally constructed in 1925, the property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The hotel features more than 32,000 sq ft of indoor meeting and event space, a 74-slip marina, 12 tennis courts along with an 18-hole golf course on Snell Island. Holliday Fenoglio Fowler marketed the hotel on behalf of the seller.

“The Renaissance Vinoy is an iconic asset in the Florida resort market, and the repositioning begun by RLJ Lodging Trust will position it to continue its dominant presence in the Tampa Bay region for decades to come,” said Daniel Peek, head of HFF’s hotel group.
