7 September 2018

A joint venture between AEW Capital Management and Columbia-based Manekin secured a $56.325m loan to refinance the Baltimore Washington Logistics Center. The two-building, class A industrial complex in Jessup, Maryland, totals a little over 1 million sq ft. Building II is a 160,255 sq ft refrigerated warehouse building that is fully leased to G Cefalu & Bro, a leading food service distributor of produce and seafood in the Mid-Atlantic region. The other building is a vacant warehouse/distribution asset totaling 853,503 sq ft. AEW and Manekin teamed up to acquire the complex for $45.3m in 2015 from the previous owners, Mosaic Realty Partners and New York Life Real Estate Investors. Holliday Fenoglio Fowler worked on behalf of the borrowers to secure the funding through Citizens Bank.
