Helicopter crashes into production hall in Bory industrial zone

7 September 2018

Four people were killed when the Robinson helicopter they were flying in crashed into a production hall in the Bory Industrial zone at the edge of Pilsen. The helicopter hung from the roof of the shed for some time before crashing to the ground. One person survived the crash but emergency teams were unable to stabilize the victim who later died. There was no one in the building at the time of the crash. Fire fighters later cut through some of the beams of the roof in order to be able to lift the wreckage out in one piece to enable investigators to determine what led to the crash. The pilot was allegedly the owner of an aeronautical parts company. Total damages to the production hall have not been released yet.
