Serbian real estate deals up 23% in H1

The real estate market in Serbia grew by 23 percent in the first six months of 2018, with transactions totaling €1.6bn. Some 48,000 properties changed hands in the first half of the year, according to the Republic Geodetic Authority. The sales volume increased by 15 percent y-o-y. Belgrade accounted for the most deals, which totaled €830m, followed by Novi Sad. The most sought-after properties were apartments (33 percent). Agricultural land accounted for 20 percent of the total volume, followed by houses at 15 percent.
