YIT and Telia have signed a long-term construction contract for 21,000 sqm of the YIT’s Tripla Workery East office complex in Pasila. As well as having over 50,000 sqm of office space the site will also contain a mall, hotel and apartments. Even though construction on the complex only began earlier this year, this project already has less than 20 percent of the space available. The three-building site is due for completion in phases by 2020, with Telia expecting to move in to its new head office during 2020. As part of the deal Telia, will sell its current head office in Vallila to YIT. Telia and YIT are in also in negotiations regarding the establishment of a joint venture in real estate, which will see them purchase buildings containing approximately 50,000 sqm of office space.
