Global Holdings Group bought Washington Harbour, a 562,105 sq ft mixed-use scheme, for $415m. Located along the Potomac River in the Georgetown submarket of Washington, DC, the property encompasses two freestanding, class A towers. A $50m renovation was completed in 2013 which included the addition of a fountain that transforms into a 12,000 sq ft ice skating rink in the fall and winter months. The buildings are currently 98 percent leased to 31 tenants, including law firms Foley & Lardner and Kelley Drye & Warren, as well as communications and advertising firm GMMB Inc. Holliday Fenoglio Fowler represented the seller, Principal Real Estate Investors, on behalf of a consortium of South Korean investors. The complex contains luxury condominiums, offices, retail space, restaurants and underground parking.
