GP Krk broke ground on the second stage of the Costabella luxury resort broke ground in Rijeka, a Croatian port city. The project is valued at around €60m. In the first stage, more than 52,000 cubic meters of limestone was deposited into the sea for the future beach construction. Croatian and Czech branches of J&T Banka secured the credit for financing the project.
The resort will offer 198 rooms in total. The property will also feature a fitness center, kids club, meeting facilities, pools, restaurants and bars. Completion is planned for early 2020 and 180 people will be employed. The four-star hotel will have six floors, a 6,000 sqm wellness area, pools and playgrounds.
