Valeo is building a new production facility in the Czech town of Rakovnik for dashboards and car sensors, according to the E15 server. It writes that the new factory will include 11,000 sqm of production space along with 2,300 sqm of offices. Valeo already operates a factory in Rakovnik where it produces aic conditioning units along with front-end modules that enable cars to reduce fuel consumption. It also has plants in Žebrik, Humpolec and in Podbořany and it has maintained an R&D center in Prague since 2002. E15 writes that the company currently employs 4,500 people in the Czech Republic. The new CZK 880m factory should be up and running by the first quarter of 2019.
