Prague rushing to extend tram service to Malešice

30 May 2018

There’s a lot of discussion in Prague about when and where to build the next additions to the metro system. But given the speed at which the Czech capital completes infrastructure investments, it’s the construction of new tram lines that will have the biggest impact on people’s lives, and on real estate. Prague had promised to extend new tram lines to the Malešice housing estate in Prague 10 by 2011, but it’s only now getting around to working on the project documentation. With chances to use from the EU for the work running out soon, the city has to act quickly. It must have a construction permit in hand by next year for the 2.4 km section of track and work has to be completed by 2022.
