The developer Sato has begun construction on a new residential building on Atlantinkatu street in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki. Of the 179 planned units, 142 will be non-subsidized rental homes while the remainder will be fixed price owner-occupier homes. The building, whose completion is set for spring 2020, was designed by Huttunen-Lipasti-Pakkanen Architects who made the winning entry of an international architecture competition held in 2015. The height of the building, located next to the leafy Hyväntoivonpuisto park, will make it a visible landmark for the neighborhood.
