Syska Hennessy takes 55,000 sq ft at 1185 Sixth in New York City

Syska Hennessy has signed a new 55,000 sq ft lease with SL Green Realty. The engineering and consulting firm will occupy the fourth and fifth floors of the office building at 1185 Sixth Avenue in New York City. The building is undergoing major renovations, including upgrades to the lobby and outdoor plaza. Other notable tenants include Amazon and the National Hockey League. Emerge212 and Reis Services, a pair of real estate-focused tenants, signed leases at the building in 2016 on about 100,000 sq ft. “The investment we’re making at 1185 Sixth is part of our strategy to upgrade our buildings on an ongoing basis to ensure our tenants continue to enjoy industry-leading amenities and work environments,” said Steven Durels, SL Green’s executive vice president and leasing director.
