Boban Mijalkovic, which owns Densi, broke ground on a mixed-use scheme in Pirot, southern Serbia. The company laid the cornerstone for Zapadni kej, a residential and business complex that’s going up next to the Gazela bridge along the Nisava River. The complex will include four buildings, totaling 10,000 sqm and 120 apartments. The total value of the investment is around €5m, with €1m being invested in the first phase. Construction is expected to take five years. In addition to office and residential space, the complex will include a kindergarten and fitness center. A Lidl supermarket will also open in the area. The local municipality will invest in infrastructure and surrounding roads.
