Stattwerk intends to develop the first green project in Belgrade. The German company bought the former Beobank building in the capital’s Zeleni Venac neighborhood in November 2016, which it is hoping to transform, along with two other nearby buildings, into a 30,000 sqm multifunctional complex dedicated to education and business. The scheme would include a 70-room hotel and underground parking with 514 spots for cars as well as bike parking and e-chargers. Stattwerk still needs to secure the purchase of the two other buildings, Elektroprivreda Srbije and the tax administration office. Local news outlets are reporting the value for all three building is estimated at about €30m. Once the permits are in place, construction should take between 12 and 15 months.
