Czech government pledges support for BMW’s testing center

The interim Czech government has passed a statement confirming its willingness to provide financial support for the construction of a testing center by BMW Group Mobility Development in Sololovska in the Karlove Vary region. The facility would include more than 100 km of roads and would be used to develop and test BMW’s new range of smart cars. The government also passed a reform package for the Czech Republic, an annual update to the country’s program of reforms made in response to a report by the European Union. Among the investments passed by the governent was the distribution of CZK 4bn to the regions to allow them to reconstruct 2nd and 3rd tier roads and highways that are carrying traffic that will eventually be handled by the Prague ring road.
