Virgil Tornoreanu will be part of the business leaders mix to speak at CEDER Conference on 17th May, in Bucharest.
Virgil is a 48 years entreprenour from Timisoara who build from zero two successful businesses. Aged 21, he left the city where he was born immediately after the Revolution, heading to Austria, where he graduated the Construction University in Vienna and studying business informatics in Germany. At the same time, he worked for nine years in a construction company in Austria, advancing from technical draftsman to general manager and in the meantime, being passionate about IT, started developing software programs for himself, in order to optimize the processes in the company.
He returned to Timisoara at the end of 2005 and founded a construction company, Werk MB Construct, and also started Vox Filemaker Solutions, a software company in which he was the first programmer. The company developed in a steady rhythm and during the economic crisis years became the main focus, over 90% of its business coming from big companies and public institutions in USA, UK or Netherlands.
In the meantime, Werk Property Group became one of the most important real estate developers in the western part of Romania, with over 900 residential units built and tens of thousands of office and logistic spaces developed. Vox Technology Park, a 26,000 sq.m. office project in Timisoara, is the developers most important project yet, being delivered in March this year, after an investment of 30 million Euros.
