Former Sibenik military barracks being transformed into visitor center

24 April 2018

The former military barracks in Croatia’s Sibenik-Knin County will be renovated into a new tourist center. The project is valued at €3.7m, with part of the funding coming from the EU. The visitor’s center was initially conceived as a “living room” extension of Sibenik’s St Nicholas fortress, which would offer catering and other amenities. The Dalmatian town has seen an uptick in tourism in recent years and officials want to better promote the area’s attractions with the visitor center.
