Henkel opens new Somat plant in Serbia

The company Henkel has opened its new plant in Krusevac. The value of the investment for this Somat plant is € 20m. Henkel will employ 50 people to operate the facility, which will allow it to increase its exports by 20 percent. New technology installed in the factory will allow it to produce Somat dishwasher tablets in biodegradable foil. Serbian prime minister Ana Brnabic was at the facility’s opening as were Germany’s ambassador to Serbia Axel Dittmann and Henkel director Dusan Antonijevic. Henkel has been active in Serbia for 15 years and made investments there of €200m, producing goods for the Loctite, Schwarzkopf and Persil brands.
