Messer expands CO2 production in Balkan region

11 April 2018

Messer Group has opened new carbon dioxide production plants in Bosnia and Bulgaria, investing about €3m into the two facilities. The plant in Bulgaria, located in the village of Katunitsa, will be able to produce almost 1 ton of CO2 per hour. The location is expected to lower the company’s transport costs and expedite deliveries. Messer’s new Bosnian plant was opened in Sockovac, allowing the industrial gases specialist to increase its production volume within the country to 2 tons per hour. Messer will export CO2 to neighboring countries.
