ZF Friedrichshafen to built new factory in Serbia

The German company ZF Friedrichshafen is planning to build a factory to produce automotive components in, Pancevo, Serbia. The city donated a 10.8ha plot to the investor as an incentive to make the investment. This project will continue over several stages, with work on the first to start in 2019. This first stage involves a 25,000 sqm plant at a that will employ 540 people. In all €85m is expected to be invested between 2019 and 2021. A second facility is also planned for construction beginning in 2022, when the city will hand over another 9.2 ha of land to build another 25,000 sqm facility and employ up to 1,000 more people. This factory in Pancevo will produce components for electronic cars.
