Kromberg & Schubert is scheduled to open a factory in Krusevac, central Serbia, later this month. The new factory covers 24,000 sqm on a 2.1 ha plot. A second phase will reportedly add an additional 12,000 sqm of operational space to the property. Kromberg & Schubert will produce car parts and cable systems for the automotive industry at the site, where around 4,000 are expected to be employed over the coming years. The investment is valued at about €29m. The Serbian government provided €9.5m worth of incentives.
