According to new data compiled by the Miami Association of Realtors, South Florida ranked number one as the most-searched U.S. market by international consumers. The region also was a top-five market for consumers in the world’s six largest regions, according to data collected in December. Colombia registered 10.5 percent of all international searches on the association’s portal, followed by Venezuela (8.1%), Argentina (7.1%), Canada (7.0%) and Brazil (5.4%) rounding out the top five. “South Florida is a top location for Latin American home buyers, but it’s also a top destination for countries all over the world,” said George C. Jalil, the association’s chairman of the board for 2018. “India, Canada, Spain and the Philippines rank among the top-10 countries searching for Miami real estate.”
