The German company Leoni will build a new production plant in Kraljevo. Construction works should get underway over the summer on the investment whose investment volume is over $60m. Leoni will produce cables for Mercedes in the new 45,000 sqm plant, employing between 4,000 and 5,000 people. It will be the company’s fourth plant in Serbia. Completion is planned for the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020. Leoni first began operations in Serbia in 2009 and now employs 6,000 people in Nis, Prokuplje and Malosiste.
