Gross demand on the Polish logistics market in 2017 totaled 4 million sqm, of which 75 percent was new lease agreements and expansions, according to AXI IMMO. The 2017 volume is a 32-percent improvement from the previous year. Demand was driven by the accelerating economy, including m-o-m increases of internal consumption and corporate investments. A total of 2.36 million sqm of new space was added to the market last year, while 1.39 million sqm was under construction at the end of 2017. The high level of absorption caused the vacancy rate to decrease to 4.5 percent.
