Amazon shifting returns from Dobrovíz to Slovakia

2 February 2018

As of this May Amazon’s facility in Dobovíz near the Prague airport will no longer be handling returns, according to the company’s spokeswoman Miroslava Remenárová. She told journalists visiting the center that this function would be taken over by other Amazon sites around Europe, including the one opened last fall in Slovakia. Rather than laying off workers, however, they will be moved into the company’s distribution operations. Amazon revealed earlier this week that it still needs to hire 500 people over the course of 2018. Returns have been handled in Dobrovíz since 2013.
