The Finnish-based developer YIT sold 320 units in 2017, producing CZK 1.2bn in revenues, but the company has set its sites higher in 2018. “We will be able to offer more than 500 new apartments, even though we don’t expect any major changes in the the development of the market,” said YIT´s Executive Director, Vladimír Dvořák. The developer is currently working on three new locations, the biggest of which being its Suomi Hloubětín project located in Prague 9. Here the company began construction of two phases of the 10-phase project, where it will offer 150 new apartments. YIT is also working on Koru Vinohradská, a 60-unit project in Prague 10 which should be finished within two years. The third project is the redevolopment of a former industrial building next to YIT’s Aalto Cibulka scheme in Košíře.”It’s a unique project that transforms an industrial building into lofts. Brownfield redevelopments, which are still quite numerous in the city, usually have huge potential,” added Dvořák.
