Škoda Auto just its factory in Mladá Boleslav to include testing facilities for transmissions. The new facility, which cost the automobile manufacturer around €8.2m, feature technologically advanced robots and machines that will be able to test automobile transmissions non-stop, including procedures in which they simulate typical drivers. “By expanding the Motor Center, Škoda Auto acquires a higher technological competence and takes on more responsibility with development within the Volkswagen corporation,” said Christian Strube, a member of the board at Škoda Auto. Škoda produces about 48,00 transmissions a day for several VW car brands.
