A tender held for the second time to determine who will build a section of Prague’s railway corridor between Hostivař and Vršovice was won, again, by a consortium of Metrostav, Swietelsky and SMP, according to Zdopravy.cz. The winning bid came in at CZK 3.487bn. Eurovia lost the tender, but its appeal to the State Railways Authority was rejected. Last year, the anti-monopoly cancelled the tender followign complaints from Eurovia. České noviny reports that the construction of tracks around Prague have proved problematic. Two contestants in a bid for another section of track worth around CZK 3.4bn were turned down in 2016 when the anti-monopoly office cancelled the tender, claiming the qualifications for bidders had been unclear.
