Hungaryʼs state debt stood at 72.4 percent of GDP at the end of the third quarter of 2017, down from 73.6 percent from the previous quarter, according to the National Bank of Hungary (MNB). In nominal terms, the state debt increased to HUF 26.956bn from HUF 26.910bn during the three-month period. Net redemptions reduced the amount by HUF 8bn, but revaluations added HUF 54bn to the total, according to the central bank.
