CBRE opening new office in Brno

11 December 2017

CBRE has opened a new office in Brno, a move it claims is the first by an international real estate consultancy. Brno is one of the prime hubs in Moravia and CBRE plans to cover the entire range of property sectors. The 1,566,300 sqm of industrial real estate in Moravia represents 23 percent of the country’s total, while the 733,000 sqm of retail space is 31 percent of the national total. Its share of office space, however, is considerably lower, with just 762,000 sqm, compared to Prague’s office stock which is currently 3.28 million square meters. Brno dictates the Moravian market as the second largest city in the Czech Republic with 380,000 residents. The city is also attractive to employers as the workforce demands lower wages than in Prague.
