Cabot, Cabot & Forbes has received the go-ahead from Boston’s Planning & Development Agency for the development of the 660-Unit Brighton apartment tower. Plans call for 98 affordable units, a 1,000 square foot publicly-accessible art gallery along with a 1,200 sqf multipurpose function room for public events. Located at 159-201 Washington St. in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, the tower’s amenities will include a fitness center, co-working and function space and nearly 510 parking spaces. The $200 million project will include the construction of four residential buildings, the restoration of the abandoned St. Gabriel’s Monastery and the renovation of the vacant Pierce House at 201 Washington St.
