New university hospital planned for Bratislava-Rászochy

31 October 2017

The torso of the University Hospital, which the Slovak government started building in Bratislava’s Rázsochy district 32 years ago, is set to be torn down. The state invested tens of millions of euros into the project, but Trend.sk writes that it is outdated and in such bad condition that it can’t be preserved. The Slovak Health Ministry has presented a new concept for the hospital. The clearing of the site will cost €25m. The ministry hopes to start construction of the new hospital in 2021, with completion scheduled for 2023.
