Demand on the Romanian industrial and logistics market reached 456,000 sqm in the first nine months of 2017 and is on track to top the 2016 volume, which totaled 463,000 sqm for the whole year. Logistic operators signed on to 250,000 sqm across the country. More than 70 percent of the demand, approximately 330,000 sqm, was made up of leases. Bucharest grabbed 56 percent of the deals. Other cities that recorded sizable transactions in the nine-month period included Pitesti (50,000 sqm), Timisoara (45,000 sqm), Roman (31,000 sqm) and Cluj (25,250 sqm).
