TK Estate to build flats on bombed Bratislava refinery site

26 October 2017

TK Estate is planning to build two residential towers on a former refining plant in Bratislava that was bombed in 1944. The site stretches between the Slovak National Theater and Mlýnské Nivy. Clearing the site could be challenging, as there still may be unexploded ammunition in the area. The costs of the project, called Portum, are expected to run to €55m. The project will offer 490 flats in two towers. One tower will have 30 floors, while the second will have 36 floors. The scheme will also feature a restaurant and a cafe as well as small shops, boutiques, a medical clinic and a spa, fitness and relaxation center.
