Michal Soták to head of capital markets at C&W

Cushman & Wakefield appointed Michal Soták head of its capital markets team for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Soták joined the company in 2012 and was promoted partner this April. In his new position, he will lead a team of seven consultants and will be in charge of investment transactions, providing acquisition advice and reports for retail projects. Along with Jeff Alson, head of Central and Eastern Europe, he will manage all transactions in his region. Over the course of last year, Soták was involved in a number of major transactions, including the sale of the OC Letňany, Forum Liberec and Central Most shopping centers and Laugaricio in Slovakia, CETIN’s facility in Prague-Žižkov, Tesco Dornych in Brno and the Euro/Astra Palace on Wenceslas Square. The capital markets team facilitated sales worth €923m in H1 2017. Soták’s accounts include Tesco, Mint, Avestus Capital Partners, CBRE GI and J&T.
