A new green park is nearing completion in Bratislava. Called Park Jama, the recreational area will replace the former cycling circuit that was cleared next to the construction site of the new national football stadium. The mayor of the capital’s Nové Mesto district, Rudolf Kusý, told Trend.sk the park is set to open as soon as it secures a use permit. Final project costs are expected to run to €2m, with €1.2m coming from Norway Grants. The park stretches across 1.7 ha and is divided into two parts: an active zone, with sports grounds and tennis courts, and a relaxation zone, which includes a pond. The park also features a running track.
