The Japanese company Yazaki is shortly to open a new factory in the Serbian town of Sabac. The factory will be located in the town’s industrial zone and will produce electronic components for trucks that will be export to the EU. Yazaki started construction of the 30,000 sqm facility in 2016, an investment of €20m that should result in the creation of 1,700 jobs by 2019. Yazaki, which was established in 1929, operates in 45 countries globally and has around 290,000 employees who produce electric systems for the automotive industry.
