NEPI Rockcastle buys Arena Plaza in Budapest

NEPI Rockcastle bought Arena Plaza in Budapest, the company’s first shopping center acquisition in Hungary. The €275m purchase price represents a yield of approximately 6.2 percent. Arena Plaza is centrally located in the eastern part of the city, close to the main railway station. The shopping center offers a gross leasable area of 66,000 sqm and is the second largest retail center in Budapest. Arena Plaza was opened in November 2007 and is currently fully leased to tenants like H&M, IMAX Cinema City, KFC, Massimo Dutti, McDonald’s, Media Markt, New Yorker, Peek & Cloppenburg and Bershka.
