Hungarian construction output slows

While Hungarian construction output rose by 22.7 percent y-o-y in July, growth slowed from the previous month, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH). Output fell by 2.1 percent m-o-m in July. Output fell 8.2 percent from June in the building segment and rose 3 percent in the civil engineering segment. Between January and July, output was up 26.2 percent y-o-y. It dropped 18.8 percent in 2016. In absolute terms, the construction sector output reached HUF 194.7bn in July, according to the KSH data.
