Sapa, the local unit of Norwegian extruded aluminum profile maker, is building a HUF 6.8bn plant at its base in Székesfehérvár, central Hungary. The project will be subsidized by the Hungarian government with a HUF 1.2bn grant to support the development of electric vehicles. Sapa supplies manufacturers like Audi, Jaguar, Aston Martin and Porsche. With an annual revenue of €6bn, the company employs more than 22,000 workers globally, 1,500 of whom are based in Hungary.
