Construction of Tesla city, a mixed-used complex with residential and business facilities in the Makisko polje district of Belgrade, will start by the end of 2017. The announcement was made by a consortium of private construction companies established by the Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in Serbia and BK company. The project calls for the construction of 2 million sqm of real estate, at an estimated price of €500 per sqm. As many as 43,000 workers could be involved in the work, while the future facilities would employ around 18,000 people. In April, BK Tesla signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese state-owned conglomerate MCC.
