For those of us who had the privilege of calling Margund our friend or knew her as a colleague or in business she was undoubtedly a ‘force of nature’.
Margund was a CEE ‘Pioneer’, commencing her development career in the early 1990’s, to become a highly-respected real estate professional who worked with UBM Group for over 25 years. She spent 17 of those years as the CEO of UBM Prague and more recently as CEO of Oaks Praha. Her legacy is woven into the fabric of Prague not just through Andel City and the many other projects she developed, but into the lives of the many people she touched.
Margund always found time and energy to help and support others with her many commitments to charitable causes, among them being a Board Member of Rotary Club Prag Bohemia and its President from 2013/2014.
With her boundless energy, Margund was a passionate professional sailor since her youth and successful as an adult, becoming Soling Class Austrian National Champion four times and European National Champion in 2017. Only last week she sailed her beloved Lake Attersee for one last time.
We will all miss you Margund — our time with you was too short, but your endless optimism and love of life will always radiate.
Margund is being laid to rest in Linz on June 5 2020. A memorial is planned in Prague with more details to follow.
