ACCIONA expansion and development – the developer is setting off to Poland with new projects

ACCIONA developer, known for numerous projects in Miasteczko Wilanów in Warsaw, strengthens its position on the Polish market. In the near future, the company will deliver to recipients two investments implemented in Warsaw – the U-City Residence estate at ul. Henryka Brodatego and AR4 – an investment located at Aleja Rzeczypospolitej 4 in Miasteczko Wilanów. This year, ACCIONA is starting the construction of the BLANCO estate in Pruszków and is planning two new projects – Kamienna Grobla in Gdańsk in the Lower Town and another in Gdynia. The commencement of the BLANCO investment in Pruszków is scheduled for the third quarter of this year, and the construction will be completed after 20 months.

The time of the pandemic turned out to be a breakthrough for the Warsaw developer. The increase in the dynamics of the purchase of apartments as part of the U-City Residence property in the Ursus-Gołąbki district and the rapid sale of premises in the AR4 housing estate in Miasteczko Wilanów contributed to the company’s development. The planned development and expansion of ACCIONA have been extended to new markets, making the company start operating nationwide. The developer’s latest project is the BLANCO housing estate in Pruszków. Seven cozy buildings, 300 apartments, all within the modern and friendly architecture that is ACCIONA’s hallmark.

– The choice of Pruszków as the next location for our investment was not accidental. We were looking for a site that, on the one hand, would allow us to offer apartments at an attractive price, and, on the other hand, a place with a well-developed and well-functioning infrastructure that would be very well connected with Warsaw. An area where we know that we will create an attractive and comfortable space for our future residents – said Katarzyna Unold, Managing Director of ACCIONA in Poland.

One of the main factors influencing the choice of Pruszków as the developer’s next investment location is a convenient connection to the center of the capital. This will provide future residents with the comfort of living in the suburbs of Warsaw. The growing demand for new apartments in large cities and the growing demand for practical premises, characterized by a high standard of finish and affordable price, contributed to ACCION’s decision to expand also to other markets, including the Tri-City. The developer has purchased land in Gdańsk at ul. Kamienna Grobla 28/29, which are located in the Lower Town, on the banks of the Motława River.

– Our choice regarding the investment in Gdańsk was obvious. We immediately noticed the enormous potential of the location and the place itself. We immediately recognized this project as a jewel that requires the right cut and binding. The location of the building near the center of Gdańsk, at the Motława River, in the vicinity of low-rise buildings reminiscent of traditional Gdańsk tenement houses and old warehouses and factories built of bricks – is a combination of tradition and the present. On the other side of Kamienna Grobla, there is Wyspa Spichrzów, which has been developing and modernizing in recent years. In addition, this part of the city is increasingly expanding in terms of infrastructure – there are plans to expand the Gdańsk sailing marina, renew the Stągiewny bridge or expand underground connections. In this project, we combine history with modernity. The plot on the front of the river bank includes two factory buildings, which we will restore to serve as residential premises and apartments with commercial premises on the ground floor. We will enrich the plot from the side of Jałmużnicza Street with a modern residential building – here we focus on minimalist architecture – emphasizes Katarzyna Unold, Managing Director at ACCIONA.

The developer has purchased the investment area with the former Batycki Factory. The building is located in the Lower Town – a part of the city of Gdańsk located in the Śródmieście district. Before the war, the factory had plants, such as: locksmiths, paint shops, upholstery shops and carpentry shops, and later on, meetings of people from the world of culture and business were held there. ACCIONA is planning to renovate and transform two buildings of the former Batycki Factory into commercial and residential purposes. In total, 33 apartments will be built here. A modern residential building will also be built on the site.

The second planned Tri-City investment involves the construction of a housing estate in Gdynia. This investment will combine the proximity of the city and nature. At the same time, the estate will be well connected, so that future tenants will be able to get to the city center in the shortest possible time. The planned investments in the Tri-City and going beyond the Warsaw market are one of the stages of the implementation of ACCIONA’s expansion and development strategy in Poland.

– As a developer known and appreciated on the Warsaw market, we decided to expand our portfolio with investments throughout Poland. We were afraid that the pandemic situation would thwart our plans for the company’s expansion this year. However, looking at the sale of our apartments, I can happily assure you that ACCIONA has done exceptionally well in these uncertain times for our industry. A great example is the sale of apartments in the U-City Residence estate in Ursus-Gołąbki – in the first quarter of 2021, we recorded a 6-fold increase in sales. The reputation that ACCIONA can boast of allows us to create projects that enjoy great interest from the very beginning. We hope that in the coming years our portfolio will expand to new locations, we are constantly looking for new investment areas – adds Katarzyna Unold.

Intensive development is also a time of changes in ACCION’s structures. The team was joined by the head of the Marketing and PR department, who will deal with external and internal communication of the company, and the developer is also expanding the Sales and Accounting Department. In connection with the newly emerging investments, the Tri-City Sales Department in Gdańsk has also emerged. 2021 is also a year of innovation for ACCIONA. In order to improve the process of purchasing apartments, the developer introduced new technological tools that will allow for quick customer service while maintaining the highest quality of services.
