The Brno airport is investing in a new multi-modal transport center in cooperation with Accolade and Panattoni Europe. Milan Kratina, chairman of the board at Letiště Brno says the airport is the gateway to southern Moravia. “We want it to be an attractive and welcoming gateway for travellers and for business,” he said. He said that Panattoni Europe would be a partner in the development of the center. “For me, Brno is a synonym for high-tech, innovation and a high-grade university background,” says Pavel Sovička, director of Panattoni Europe for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. “The development of its airport, however, has struggled with a lack of quality capacity for logistics companies even though the synergies from this premium location in the center of Europe are clear. A multi-modal center would create an excellent base of European stature.” Kratina said that a similar facility could be created in Ostrava’s airport.
