The investment group Accolade is developing a new business park in Otovice, in the Karlovy Vary region. The company says the new complex will be connected with a bike path and is to be built in order to require less energy than others like it. “The park that’s being prepared will have LED lights while offering a generous portion of natural light thanks to a high number of ceiling windows and the walls will be insulated more than normal,” he says. “We’re preparing it so that it satisfies the ‘Very Good’ BREEAM requirements with room to spare.” The park’s green areas will make up nearly half of the entire zone along with 31,000 sqm of logistics and distribution space.
Jiří Stranský, who’s in charge of location development at Accolade, says that theoretically, up to 670 people could work in the new park, but he predicts the final count will be lower. “The real number of working places will be substantially less rely on the most modern technology and they have to be able to produce and sell products with a high level of added value in order to be able to afford to pay their employees at a time when there aren’t many on the market.”
