Accor plans expansion on Czech market

Accor wants to expand its presence in the Czech Republic. The French hotel operator is currently scouting new locations in the center of Prague, Hradec Králové and Brno. “We would like to open an additional two hotels in the Czech Republic in two to three years,” Daniela Nováková, sales and marketing director for Accor Hotels CZ, told the daily Hospodářské noviny. The company currently operates five hotels in Prague and has three other locations in Ostrava, Pilsen and Olomouc.

Accor entered the Czech Republic in 1998. It offers 1,356 rooms in eight hotels, making Accor the second leading hotel chain on the Czech market. In Prague, the company has three Ibis economy hotels, and two four-stars – Novotel and MGallery Century Old Town. It has Ibis hotels in Pilsen and Olomouc and a four-star Mercure in Ostrava.
