Accor to add four hotels to Mercure chain in Poland

27 February 2015

Accor is planning to add four hotels to its Mercure chain in Poland over the next two years. The first two are set to open under a new brand in TriCity by the end of the second quarter of this year. Both Orbis Gdynia and Orbis Posejdon Gdańsk will be modernized. The upgrades will include new lobbies as well as new conference and guest rooms. “Mercure is the biggest hotel brand in Poland, with a chain of 21 hotels currently operating across Poland, Lithuania and Latvia,” said Joanna Świerkosz, deputy distribution and marketing director for the chain’s Baltic business. “Adding Orbis hotels into the Mercure chain is in line with the new strategy being implemented by our new partner, Accor.”

Controlled by world’s biggest hotel operator, which is present in 92 countries, the Mercure chain includes 707 hotels operating in 53 countries.
